Install Muro on Webflow

Add the Muro script to a Webflow site through the site-wide head code setting.

Webflow lets you add code to the <head> of every page from your site settings. That's where the Muro script goes. You don't need to touch individual pages or collections.

Steps

Copy your snippet

In Muro, go to Settings → Project → Tracking script and click Copy script:

<script async src="https://api.muroanalytics.com/muro.js" data-project-id="YOUR_PROJECT_ID"></script>

Paste it into Head code

  1. Open your site's settings in Webflow (Site settings from the dashboard, or from the Webflow menu in the Designer).
  2. Go to the Custom code tab.
  3. Paste the snippet into Head code.
  4. Click Save changes.

Publish

Click Publish and publish to your Webflow domain, your custom domain, or both. Custom code doesn't run in the Designer preview, so tracking starts once the site is published.

Verify it works

  1. Open your published site.
  2. Open DevTools, go to the Network tab, filter by collect and reload. You should see a POST to cdn.muroanalytics.com/collect with status 202.
  3. Or, in Muro, set the time picker to Live. Your visit appears within about 30 seconds.

Good to know

  • Custom code needs a paid Site plan. If the Custom code fields aren't available, check your Webflow plan.
  • webflow.io and your custom domain both count. If you publish to both, visits to the staging webflow.io domain land in the same project. Publish only to your custom domain, or see Keep staging and localhost out of your data.
  • Track button clicks without code. Add a custom attribute named data-muro-event (for example with the value signup_click) to a button or link in the element settings. See Track custom events.
